A Christmas Story
In the silence of a Christmas Eve, when peace breaks out the world over, we glimpse the reality of our Oneness and instinctive desire to protect the newborn child. In 2020 it feels especially important that we unite in our efforts to claim a new beginning for humanity, not as some mutant creation, controlled by a tyrannical force, but as the sovereign beings that we are, each weaving our unique thread into the tapestry of life. A central theme of the Christmas season is our vulnerability as we awaken into a new consciousness and understanding of our total dependence on one another.
The Biblical account of the birth of the Christ child tells of Herod’s earthly insecurity and attempt to destroy the threat to his dominion. With devious cunning he instructs the Magi to return and inform him of the whereabouts of the infant so that he can pay homage. We are also told that on this cold night a pregnant woman in labour was turned away from the inn. Open-hearted shepherds on the hillsides heard the call and came with wonder to see the miracle long foretold. How is this a metaphor for life in 2020?
This year has been truly bizarre. On Boxing Day Northern Ireland enters another period of business destroying lockdowns, this time for six weeks, but without a shred of evidence that they work. It seems as arbitrary as the decision that family members should return to their homeplace for the first census – hence the perilous journey of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, the town of David. Even 2,000 years ago humanity was familiar with obeying civic leaders under fear of sanction.
For the majority of people life is a struggle and we ‘go along to get along’. Like the proverbial boiling frog we conform to ever tighter controls, not realizing that there is to be no end to the discomfort and that eventually life as we knew it will end. Devious cunning is being used to dupe us into obedient subjugation and to snitch on those who would oppose the constrictions. ‘Let us (the authorities) know where these conspiracy theorists are so that we can enter into discussions to determine the best way forward. We’re all in this together you know’.
People weary of months of pointless oppression are bursting to bring a new consciousness to the world. Their pleas to be heard are being casually dismissed by the Mainstream Media and SAGE experts, who continue to plot behind closed doors. Like the shepherds of long ago, independent thinkers are joining from near and far to marvel at the innocence and simplicity of the new meme, same as the old meme, but now viewed with reverence and respect and with the instinctive desire to protect life and livelihoods as we know them.
It remains to be seen if the next chapter, 2021 and beyond, is to lead to ‘The Slaughter of the Innocents’. Are people to be forced to accept an untested vaccine, or a series of vaccines (because this devious virus is constantly mutating), which could cause major damage through enhanced autoimmune reactions? Senior scientists Yeadon and Wodarg are particularly concerned that one such autoimmune response could attack the Syncytin-1 protein, which is essential for the development of a placenta in mammals. Is it worth the risk to human fertility that women of childbearing age accept a vaccine for a disease from which 99.95% of them will recover?
The Christmas story is as exciting today as it always was. We can indeed determine the best way forward. We need open hearts, mutual respect and the removal of a fear narrative that is nothing short of State Sponsored Terrorism. Let us remember that the central message of Christmas is one of peace and goodwill. Let us each do what we feel is necessary to protect ourselves and stay healthy.
Happy Christmas Everyone!
